Day 1
Johannesburg to Blyde River Canyon
Get ready for an exciting start to your 6-day Kruger and Panorama Family Safari! Day 1 begins with a transfer from O.R. Tambo Airport at 7:40 am, arriving in Ohrigstad at 12:30. There, your guide leads you on an adventure along the Panorama Route. You’ll explore Pilgrims Rest, and experience its rich heritage. Then, you’ll head to Graskop for lunch (at your expense).
You’ll continue the journey, and visit God’s Window for breathtaking views, Berlin Falls, Lisbon Falls, and the iconic 3 Rondawels in the Blyde River Canyon. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Forever Resort. You’ll stay in comfortable Chalets with ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchen. Dinner prepared by our chef will be served at your chalet, offering a personalized dining experience.
Day 1 sets the tone for an unforgettable safari, immersing you in natural wonders and cultural richness.

Day 2
Blyde River Canyon & Educational Activities
The day starts with breakfast at the resort before embarking on a relaxing boat cruise on Swadini Dam, offering stunning views and a chance to spot crocodiles and Hippos.
Next, you’ll visit the Hoedspruit Reptile Centre for an educational experience about reptiles’ unique characteristics and ecosystem importance. Afterward, you’ll enjoy your own expense lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for encounters with orphaned and recovering wildlife.
In the evening, you’ll settle into the lodge at the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. Dinner prepared by our chef awaits, providing a perfect end to a day filled with exploration and wildlife encounters. The lodge offers comfortable accommodations amidst natural surroundings, ensuring a restful night for your family. Day 2 promises a blend of adventure, education, and relaxation, setting the stage for remarkable experiences ahead.

Day 3
Hoedspruit to Kruger National Park
Get ready for an unforgettable Day 3 of your 6-day Kruger and Panorama Family Safari! After breakfast at the lodge, we take a short 1-hour drive to the gates to Kruger National Park, South Africa`s premier National Park. You will enter through Orpen Gate and take a slow drive through to Satara Camp.
As you journey through the grasslands, keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that calls this iconic reserve home. The drive is full of wonders, leading you to Satara Rest Camp just before sunset.
At Satara, relax in cozy rondavels with two single beds, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. Dinner by the Rondawels offers a cozy setting, with our chef providing a South African culinary experience.
Day 3 embodies a Kruger safari—wildlife exploration, relaxation, and cherished family moments in the African wilderness.
Main Destination: Kruger National Park
Accommodation: Satara Rest Camp – Mid-range rest camp located inside Central Kruger NP

Day 4
Kruger National Park
This day starts with coffee and hot chocolate, venturing into Satara’s grasslands in search of the majestic cheetahs. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll head to Skukuza, a 90-kilometer drive with chances to spot lions. At Skukuza, you’ll enjoy an own-expensed lunch by the Sabie River.
Accommodation in traditional African Rondawels provides comfort with twin beds, a private washroom, a ceiling fan, a fridge, and a small patio. After lunch, you will explore the camp’s facilities. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive, aiming to spot the impressive pride of 20 lions in the Skukuza area.
You’ll cap off the day with a memorable dinner under the stars at our bush restaurant, immersing in the enchanting ambiance of the African wilderness.

Day 5
Kruger National Park

Day 6
Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
Day 6, the final day of our 6-day Kruger and Panorama Family Safari, starts with an exhilarating sunrise safari drive to spot active predators. After breakfast, you’ll depart the camp at 8:30 for a safari drive from camp to the gate, soaking in the sights and sounds of Kruger National Park one last time.
From the gate, you’ll head to Hazyview, where you’ll have time to explore and collect souvenirs. At noon, a transfer will take you back to Johannesburg. You’ll enjoy the scenic drive back, arriving in Johannesburg between 5 and 6 pm. Ensure smooth travel by not booking domestic flights before 8 pm and international flights before 9 pm.
Day 6 marks the end of your safari, balancing thrilling wildlife encounters with a tranquil journey back. Cherish the memories forged in the wild as you return home, carrying stories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
